I have been toying around with starting a blog for a long, long, long time. I figure my life is interesting enough and people may be interested in my opinions. I would flip flop on this idea for over a year before starting this lifestyle blog today. There were times where I asked my husband, Mr. Stuff, do I really want to let strangers into our lives, do I really have something to say that matters? Mr. Stuff would say that I can do whatever I want to do and that ultimately I would start a blog if I really wanted to; with or without his permission. (He’s very supportive that way).

I flip flopped a lot. And I mean A LOT! Was our life, was my life really that interesting that other people wanted to read about it, did I want others to read about it? Would this blog turn into an online journal or something productive? Then I read “A Simple Favor”, by Darcey Bell. That squashed any idea of blogging. The naive “mommy blogger” in “A Simple Favor” destroyed the idea of blogging for me. If I ever start a blog with “Hi Moms” kill me right then and there.
However, last weekend we went to the Fingerlakes. The Fingerlakes are a magical place were I get to nerd out about my hidden passion: wine. I love wine. I may rarely drink wine, but I can rock a wine tasting. Mr. Stuff says that he knew I was a keeper when I talked our taster into giving us the exclusive, members only tasting at Dr. Franks. This past weekend away I realized wanted a way to immortalize our trip and have an outlet for all my opinions.

Fair warning, some of my opinions are too much. As Ms. Aracic would say in Freshman English, “Megan, I can’t deal with your opinions today!” before kicking me out of class for the day. To express the severity of this statement, Ms. Aracic would frequently kick me out of her class upon entering, prior to class even starting. So with fair warning, I invite you to check in on the Stuffs and see what crazy things we (and by “we” I mean “I”) get ourselves into. And so from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, we are House of Stuff.
